Kidney Walk 2012

Our whole family went to Cedar Rapids today to walk in the Kidney Walk. It was really fun for Wesley to be around so many of the Pediatric Nephrology Team at the U of I Hospitals that he has gotten to know so well in his short 3 1/2 years of life. He is one popular kid! There were people there he knew that we had never met. He isn't someone that people forget, that's for sure!

It was great to support a cause that is so wonderful and that has become something so close to our hearts.  We plan to become more involved with the National Kidney Foundation now that we are aware of the wonderful things they do.  We only heard about this walk less than 2 weeks ago, but are glad that we didn't have any other plans today so we could participate.

The boys had a great time.  Wesley ran the Fun Run and it was about one of the cutest things I've ever seen.  Ha.  He is too much.  He was pretty excited about his medal. :)

Love this son of ours so much.  Love the organ donor who saved his life.
Without that 17 year old boy, we wouldn't have this little man as our son.  Organ donors save lives...simple as that.

It was a great family day!
