So we've been stewing and fretting over a middle name for Cason. We really wanted to keep it as Anthony or James (his current middle name), but I just COULDN'T get used to Cason Anthony. Every time I said it, I just felt like I was saying Casey Anthony. Ick. So then we thought we'd keep James. Apparently, I was the only one who thought that. Sean just really wanted to change it completely. I kind of did want at least his first or middle name to have some sort of meaning. I mean, James didn't really have meaning to us (aside from the fact that we have a dear friend, James of course!), but we could have kept it and it would have been meaningful because that's the name he was given at birth...then it kept coming to my head that he was named after a man who...well, nevermind, I won't get into that. Let's just say that we didn't know that the meaning behind his current name is something we wanted to hold onto for him.
So we were on a mission for a new middle name for Cason that had meaning to us. Tate's middle name has special meaning in that it is the name that all boys on his birthmother's side are given for a middle name...it is his maternal grandfather's name. We kind of want to keep that sort of tradition going where at least the first of middle name of our children has some sort of meaning to us or family connection of some sort. Cason is just a name we like...no sentimental meaning to us really.
After much though, the decision was clear!
He will be....
CASON STEWART PEAKIN
We love that.
It definitely has meaning!
So there you have it!
