Appointments Galore!

I went to Anthony's Osteopathic Manipulation appointment this morning. The doctor is wonderful and works on the tightness in Anthony's neck and back to hopefully get him to a point where he isn't wanting to arch his back all the time and hopefully he'll be able to sit up on his own better. Also, he works on his head and dealing with the flatness as well as he can. Anthony really needs a helmet, but due to the Title 19 insurance he has, it's not covered. The helmet will not make any difference developementally for Anthony, it would only be for cosmetic purposes and Title 19 doesn't cover things like that. It kind of breaks my heart though because his head really is super flat in the back. Apparently it has improved a lot in the last several months though and will continue to improve. Anthony is adorable no matter what, we just want what's best for him. :)

Following his appointment, the Family Resources worker took him for his visit with his mom. He gets an hour with her each week until she is shipped out to the prison in Mitchellville...this will likely happen on the 20th of January. Shortly after that, the legal stuff to terminate her rights will be completed and there will be likely one more "goodbye visit" and that will be it.

I worked with Anthony's foster mom today at transferring all of his appointments onto our calendar so that I have everything in one place. This is going to be a full time job just getting him to all of his appointments! I'm sure I'll catch on quickly. :)
