We got to pick up Anthony for good on Christmas Day! Wow. We are so thrilled to have this little man with us 24/7! We are IN LOVE with him fully. Crazy how that can happen so quickly! :)
I don't think I am just biased here...he is the BEST baby ever! I have heard him cry twice...each time for about 10 seconds. We have had him for a total of 7 nights now (we had him for 4 nights before "officially" having him full time) and that is how much he's cried. He sleeps like a dream, smiles and giggles all the time, eats like a pro and is a snuggle bug. :)
We had a meeting with his DHS case worker today and got LOTS of questions answered. PLEASE PRAY that we get good news on January 17th. If we get the news we want on that day, we will feel so much more secure in the permanency of this situation. We feel it is as permanent as it can be considering where we are in the legal process of all of this, however there is ALWAYS a chance that things can go wrong. Anthony's case worker seems to think that we will be fine, but you just never know until things are signed, sealed and delivered. :) Her words were, "I will fall over in shock" if what we are NOT wanting to happen happens. Hearing her say that made us feel better, but we still will be uneasy until we know for sure on January 17th where things will go from here. On that date, if things work out in our favor, I will be a bit more specific.
Can't wait for him to meet Chris, Brenda, Bode and Boone on Friday!!!
